Allergies
Many of us are afflicted with allergies. Some of the symptoms that bother us either chronically or seasonally are: itchy, watery, red eyes, nasal stuffiness, chronic runny nose and sneezing. Sometimes these problems lead to repeated sinus infections, and asthma can also be a problem. Many over-the-counter and prescription medications are used to treat these symptoms. Our medicine cabinets are sometimes filled with medications that sometimes work, but many do not and some of these can make us tired, irritable or prevent us from falling asleep at night. Some of us will receive an “allergy shot” which may help but can also make us prone to other infections.
